At Dowlar, we are committed to operating our business in a manner that is legal, ethical, and responsible. We expect our suppliers to share and uphold the same standards in their operations, reflecting our commitment to integrity throughout our supply chain.
In line with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (SB-657), which requires businesses operating in California to disclose their efforts to eliminate slavery and human trafficking in their supply chains, Dowlar provides the following information:
Dowlar expects its direct product suppliers to adhere to and implement our Supplier Code of Conduct. This code outlines our expectations for working conditions, explicitly prohibiting the use of involuntary or forced labor, human trafficking, child labor, and any form of harassment or abuse.
We consistently communicate the requirements of our Supplier Code of Conduct to ensure that all materials used in our products comply with applicable laws regarding slavery and human trafficking.
While we do not currently conduct audits of our suppliers, we reserve the right to initiate audits or seek third-party verification for any suppliers we believe to be at significant risk of violating our Supplier Code of Conduct. Should we suspect that a supplier is engaged in unethical practices, we will conduct a thorough investigation. If any human rights violations are identified, Dowlar will immediately address the issue with the supplier and set clear expectations for remediation. If the issue is not resolved in a timely manner, we will reconsider our business relationship with the supplier, which may result in termination.
Dowlar maintains strict internal accountability standards and procedures for employees and contractors who do not meet our expectations, including our prohibitions against slavery and trafficking.
To ensure that our team is knowledgeable about supply chain issues, including the risks of human trafficking and slavery, we provide regular training for our employees responsible for managing our product supply chain.
